Ciara: That all the people who experienced
and suffered from the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina are able to
come together as a unified force under such difficult
circumstances to not only support one another, but to also make
the city stronger and better than it has ever been.

BostonRap.com: Sometimes when a record is as big as
“Goodies” it can get bigger than the artist. What kept you from
falling into that? Cuz right now no one knows what happened to
the “Uh Oh” girl.
Ciara: Awww nooo. (Laughs) I let the
people say why. I just know I am here doing my thing. I haven’t
really had a chance to look up because there’s a lot of hard
work that comes with a hit record.

Was "1-2 Step" always going to be the second single?
Ciara-Yes. That is what I wanted to be the second single. Some
people at the label felt stronger about another record, but I
always knew "1-2 Step" was the second single. We had to go in
and fix it and then it was like, this is the record, hands down.
